They can roam from the red room to the blue room where every object is that respective color. • For a slightly older sports-minded crowd, think about checking out a college football game in the state of Nebraska. For instance, the Nebraska Cornhuskers offer group sales to their football games. You can make a day of the event by securing tickets, showing up early and having a tail-gate birthday party in the parking lot. Bring Nebraska Cornhusker themed plates, napkins, banners and signs and share great food and beverages with family and friends. Hastings Museum

• For those interested in the natural and cultural history of America, think about hosting a birthday party at the Hastings Museum. There is a collection of exhibits sure to satisfy both younger and older visitors alike. Children might be able to relate to the "Kool-Aid' exhibit, while older visitors may dig the history of antique vehicles. Other exhibits include rocks, and fossils, "People of the Plains," and an exhibit on wildlife found in the region.
