Troubleshooting a Keyboard That Is Not Working
- 1). Check the cord on the keyboard and make sure that it is plugged into the computer securely. If the keyboard is plugged in but does not work, unplug it and try plugging it into a different USB port.
- 2). Use compressed air to clean between the keys on your keyboard. If food crumbs, spilled drinks or other debris are on your keyboard, the keys could stick and stop working properly.
- 3). Locate the software that came with your keyboard or visit the manufacturer's website to make sure that the proper drivers are installed. If a disc came with your keyboard, it will contain the drivers that you need, or you can download them from the manufacturer's website.
- 4). Connect the keyboard to a different computer if the problem persists. If the keyboard still does not work, it might be faulty or broken.
