How to Erase the Search History in Safari

    • 1). Open Safari by clicking "Start," "All Programs" and "Safari."

    • 2). Click the gear icon at the top-right corner of the "Safari" browser window.

    • 3). Click "Reset Safari" in the tools menu that appears.

    • 4). Select private data to erase in the "Are you sure you want to reset Safari?" window. All private data is selected by default; keep private data by clicking the checkbox next to it. Remove all search history data by leaving "Clear history" and "Remove other autofill form text" checked.

    • 5). Erase the search history and other selected private data by clicking "Reset" at the bottom of the "Are you sure you want to reset Safari?" window.
