    Potato Stamps

    • Make shamrock prints with a raw potato. Cut the potato in half, then use a cookie cutter or a cardboard template to cut the shape into the potato. Dip the potato stamp into craft paint and make several prints on a large piece of paper. Let the paint dry and then use the paper as a place mat for your St. Patrick's Day dinner. Alternatively, use several colors of paint to make a rainbow collage of shamrocks and hang it up for a festive decoration.

    Sponge Stamps

    • Using clean, dry kitchen sponges, cut out shamrocks in various sizes. Dip the sponges into green fabric paint. Decorate a white T-shirt or a canvas bag with your own shamrock pattern. Use squeezable tubes of green and gold fabric paint to add a seasonal message such as "Luck of the Irish" or your name. Allow the paint to dry completely before use.

    Fingerprint Stamps

    • Use a green ink pad to make fingerprint shamrocks. Press your thumb or forefinger onto the pad, then make your mark on craft or card paper with three or four fingerprints together, overlapping in the middle. With a green marker, outline the clover leaves and add a stem. Use several of these shamrocks to decorate a card for someone special.

    Foam Stamps

    • Cut out a shamrock shape from a piece of craft foam. With craft glue, attach the shamrock to another small square of foam. Allow your new stamp to dry, then use it with craft or fabric paint to add shamrocks to a card or T-shirt, as in Section 2.

    Heart Stamps

    • If you have heart-shaped stamps left over from Valentine's Day, you can make a shamrock without investing in a new rubber stamp. Use green ink or craft paint to dip the stamp in. Stamp four hearts together in a shamrock shape with the pointed ends of the hearts together in the middle. Allow your print to dry thoroughly. Heart-shaped stamps can be used to create shamrocks in any of the previous craft ideas as well.
