How to Grow a Wild Potato Vine
- 1). Water the wild potato vine only during periods of drought. If the vine begins to wilt, water it. When you do water, moisten the top 10 inches of soil.
- 2). Give the wild potato vine an arbor or fence to climb.
- 3). Fertilize the wild potato vine with a 10-10-10 formula, sprinkled on the soil at its base, in early spring. Water after application, and use the hose to wash off any fertilizer that lands on the foliage.
- 4). Cut back the wild potato vine in spring to keep it growing where you want it. You can safely cut back up to a third of its growth without hurting the plant.
