Sentinel This product combines the product Program, and a heartworm preventative called Interceptor into one product which results in control of not only fleas, but also heartworms and other intestinal worms while.
Advantage Advantage uses a compound called imidacloyrid, this is a once a month product in liquid form that works by direct contact.
One of the nice things about this compound is that the fleas do not have to actually bite the dog in order to be killed.
But one disadvantage of this product is that it tends to lose its effectiveness if the dog becomes wet within the first week of application.
Frontline Frontline uses a compound called fipronil, which acts on contact to kill most fleas within 48 hours.
