- 1). Create an account with authorSTREAM (see the Resources for a link). This service allows you to upload a PowerPoint Presentation and converts the .ppt into a downloadable video. After creating an account, upload your PowerPoint file.
- 2). Upon receiving notification that your file has been completely converted (via email), download the file in the MP4 format.
- 3). Open iMovie and drag the MP4 slideshow into the main window. It may take a minute for the program to import the video.
- 4). Select the Music icon to bring up your iTunes library in the iLife Media Browser.
- 5). Drag a song of your choosing into the main window. If your presentation is long enough, you can add additional tracks. If your presentation is shorter than one song, iDVD will automatically fade out the track as the video ends. A green outline surrounding the video clips signifies the background track.
- 6). When satisfied, select "Share" from the menu bar and select "iDVD."
- 7). iDVD will open. You have the option to change the menu themes.
- 8). Insert a blank DVD into your computer.
- 9). Select the Burn icon. iDVD will begin encoding your files and burn the disk. When it is finished, you will be able to play your PowerPoint presentation along with your added soundtrack on most DVD players.
