- 1). Open the IMVU software on your computer. Type your email address and password, then click the "Login" button.
- 2). Click the "Chat Rooms" icon in the main program window. Select the chat room you want to join, then click the "Go" button under the chat room's name and information. Click the gray icon that looks like a person's head and shoulders and is located on the lower-right side of the chat window.
- 3). Click the "Invite by Name" link on the menu that appears. Type the IMVU avatar name of the person you want to invite, then click "OK." To invite someone from your friend's list, highlight the person's name and click the chat bubble icon. After your friend accepts the invitation, the person's name appears on the chat.
