How to Remove Temporary Internet Files on a Mac
- 1). Launch Firefox. Click on the "Tools" tab at the top of the screen. Select "Clear Private Data" from the drop-down menu that appears. Select the boxes for the type of data you would like to delete, then click the "Clear Private Data Now" button.
- 2). Launch Safari. Click on the word "Safari" at the top of the page. Select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu, then select "Autofill." Select "Edit" followed by "Remove All" to remove the temporary Safari files stored on your Mac.
- 3). Repeat steps 1 and 2 at least once a month to keep your Mac's temporary internet file folder empty, allowing for optimal performance.
