How to Promote an MMA Event

    • 1). Hang posters or pass out fliers at MMA training schools and the event center where the fight will be held. The best audience you can reach is an audience directly associated with the sport. Ambitious individuals training or who one day desire to fight in MMA events will definitely want to attend an MMA fight. And many people are likely to view your posters or fliers at the event center.

    • 2). Promote on MMA Web sites, forums, etc. See the resources section for a couple of great Web sites to start out with. Forums are also an ideal spot to find casual fans or fighters who are interested in attending a professional event. The advertising space is often free or very cheap, another positive factor.

    • 3). Contact local businesses which may be interested in sponsoring the event. Companies will usually jump at the opportunity to sponsor a big event like a MMA fight because they know they can reach a large audience. They may even offer free product samples at the event to attract future customers. Target companies that reach the 18- to 30-year-old demographic (the same age group that attends MMA fights).
