How to Make a MacBook Cooler

    • 1). Spray electronic duster in all of the vents in the MacBook. If the vents are clogged with dust or hair, heat can be prevented from escaping the inside of the computer.

    • 2). Use the MacBook only on hard surfaces. When used on soft surfaces, such as a bed or carpet, all air flow to the bottom of the computer can be completely blocked, which in turn prevents the laptop from cooling down efficiently.

    • 3). Place a rectangular pencil eraser under each corner of the MacBook. This will elevate the computer and allow adequate airflow along each side. The eraser material will also provide a non-slip surface.

    • 4). Place the computer on a laptop cooling pad as a last resort if the other techniques are not effective. These cooling pads typically run off a USB cord and have a fan that constantly blows air on the bottom of the laptop.
