How to Transform Yourself With Jivamukti Yoga
- 1). Find a Jivamukti yoga class near you. Look up yoga studios. Check their class list. Read the class description so you know what you're getting yourself into.
- 2). Register for a Jivamukti class. Be sure to show up early. Make sure you come to class well rested and hydrated since the class will be very physically demanding.
- 3). Think about the theme of the class your teacher presents. Your teacher will give you a theme for each class, and that is what the class will be based upon. You will be given scriptures to read each class. Take in the message as you read the scriptures. Think about how it relates to you and your life.
- 4). Chant and meditate. Your instructor will lead you through a series of yoga poses, postures and movements. These are designed to stretch you, strengthen you and open up your body. You will also be asked to chant with your teacher. You should be thinking about the theme of the day through all the processes of the class.
- 5). Continue to think about the concepts and philosophies discussed in class after its completion. Make small changes in your day to follow along with the principles of yoga. Make a promise to yourself that you will devote yourself entirely to expanding your mind and becoming a better person.
- 6). Meditate at night before you go to bed. Focus on all the things you did productively and rightfully during day. Also concentrate on what you still need to accomplish and the possibilities tomorrow can bring. Continue to attend classes on a daily or weekly basis, and apply the lessons in class to your daily life. Good luck!
