- 1). Tap the menu key, which has four dots on it, to enter the call menu on your LG Vu. Tap "Messaging" to enter the text messaging application on your phone. Tap "New Message" to begin drafting a text message.
- 2). Tap the paper clip icon above the body of the text message to attach a file. Tap a file type from the "Insert" menu; you can select things that include symbols, pictures, audio files, video files. Select the file and it will be attached to your message.
- 3). Tap the keyboard icon to open a full QWERTY keyboard to allow for easier text entry. Tap the "Abc" button to toggle through the various text entry modes. You can enter text using a standard keypad by pressing each key one, two or three times; you can tap each numbered key once and allow the phone to figure out which word you're typing or you can leave it on the QWERTY keyboard to type like you would at a computer.
- 4). Tap the text entry field and enter the message you wish to send. Tap "Send To" when the message is complete. Enter the phone number of the recipient or tap the contacts button, which looks like a notepad with a phone on it, to choose from your list of contacts. Tap "Send" to send the message off.
