  Getting a woman a nice holiday gift neither has to be stressful nor expensive. Every woman wants to have something in her home to help complete or create a certain relaxing environment, feel free enough to escape the daily pressures of life and feel pampered as she lies down to sleep. These three holiday gift ideas will please any woman you want to give a gift to.
  
  

Handmade Designer Candles

• Handmade designer candles are simple, large, round candles, the pillar type that are usually more than 6 inches tall, covered in a pretty picture of some sort, frosted with a substance called modgepodge and then covered in a thin layer of glitter. The pictures can be holiday images found in a magazine or perhaps cut out from an unused holiday napkin. The candles, modgepodge and glitter can be found at a local craft or fabric store. Depending on your situation, you might need to buy the candle and holiday napkins at a retail store and the modgepodge and glitter at a craft store.
  
  To make the decorative candle, cut out the image you want to wrap around the candle. Wrap the picture around the candle and trim off any extra so it sits centered on the candle. Cover the candle in modgepodge with a sponge brush, put the picture down and then apply another layer of modgegpodge over the top of the image and its edges to seal it in. Sprinkle glitter at will, and allow the candle to dry.
  
  

Getaway Bag

• Use an inexpensive backpack, and fill it with pampering items such as lotions, lip gloss, sunglasses, lip balm, sunscreen and a music CD filled with her favorite music. Optionally, if she can't travel somewhere weather appropriate, pack some movies you know she likes or ones she hasn't seen yet. Depending on her personality, you could even add her favorite type of fiction novels. To keep it inexpensive and "green," go for a recycling theme and give used books in good quality condition instead. This bag will encourage her to get away for a break and get some "me time" for herself.

• For a woman who takes pride in the looks of her home or prefers to treat herself to something meaningful and relaxing when she sleeps, embroidered pillow cases can be inexpensive and meaningful. Pick pillowcases with a good, sturdy cotton blend, preferably white or off-white in color. Fabric stores, craft stores and some larger national chain stores within the fabric section contain sets of iron-on embroidery patterns. Browse through the designs, and mix and match to find something that fits her personality. You can even buy a fabric pencil and use it to write an inspiring quote on the pillowcase for her instead of a picture. The threads, needles and embroidery hoops will also be found near the same section as the embroidery patterns. Receiving something like this will warm her heart as she will know you put effort into the creation. She'll be reminded of you each time she uses the pillowcase.
