How to Cut Back a Kimberly Queen Fern
- 1). Identify any fronds that need to be removed. Any dead or diseased fronds should be targeted, as well as any fronds that are "crunchy" or inflexible.
- 2). Soak the blades of the pruning shears in alcohol to sterilize the cutting surface and reduce chances of introducing disease into the fern.
- 3). Cut off the fronds at their base where they connect in to the main root ball. Continue removing fronds until just the green, healthy fronds are left.
