- 1). Disconnect the networking cables from the back of your computer.
- 2). Restart the computer with the XP CD in the drive. Press any key when prompted to boot from CD.
- 3). Press "Enter" at the Welcome and "F8" at the license terms.
- 4). Highlight the drive containing XP and press "R" to repeat the repair without the distraction of an active network.
