- 1). Send a text message to your iPhone that contains a PWI file attachment. The iPhone features the ability to send and receive MMS text messages. Using this MMS feature you can import a PWI file to your iPhone. Attach the PWI file to the text message and send the MMS message to your iPhone's phone number. After sending the text message, tap the "Messages" icon on your iPhone. Select the text message. The PWI file will appear as an attachment to the MMS message. Tap the icon from the PWI file to open the file on your iPhone.
- 2). Send an email message to your iPhone that contains a PWI file attachment. The iPhone also features a fully functional email client that you can use to receive PWI file attachments from POP-3 and IMAP-enabled email accounts. Attach the PWI file to your email message and send the email message to an email account setup on your iPhone's Mail application. After sending the email message, tap the Mail icon on your iPhone. Select the email message and tap the PWI attachment icon to open the PWI file on your iPhone.
- 3). Transfer the PWI file to your iPhone using a file transfer application. The App Store offers several paid file transfer applications that you can use to import the PWI file to your iPhone. Examples of file transfer applications include Air Sharing, FileMagnet and Briefcase. Install the application from the App Store by searching for the application and selecting the application. Tap the icon that lists the price of the application and then tap the "Buy Now" button. Connect your iPhone to your computer using the data cable. Open the iTunes application and select your iPhone from the list of iTunes devices. Click the Applications tab and select the file transfer application. Drag the PWI file into iTunes to import the PWI file to your iPhone.
