How to Create Separate Folders for Songs & Ring Tones on the Droid

    • 1). Connect the micro USB cable to the port on the side your Droid. Connect the other end to a USB port on your computer.

    • 2). Drag the Droid Status Bar down and touch "USB Connected." Tap the "Turn On USB Storage" button. Click "OK" at the prompt.

    • 3). Open Windows Explorer and double-click "Droid" in the "Devices With Removable Storage" panel. Double-click the "Media" folder.

    • 4). Right-click an empty place in the file window and select "New," then "Folder." Name the folder "ring tones". Double-click the "ring tones" folder to open it so you can drag and drop audio ring tone files into it.

    • 5). Press the back button to return to the root or main directory of the Droid's microSD card. Right-click an empty place in the file window. Click "New," and then "Folder. Name the folder "Music". Double-click the "Music" folder to open it and then drag and drop music files into the folder from your computer.

    • 6). Drag the Droid Status Bar down and tap "Turn Off USB Storage." Touch the "Turn Off USB Storage" button. Disconnect the phone from the micro USB cable.
