Pousada Porto Imperial, one of Paraty's most beautiful pousadas and the only local member of the Roteiros de Charme association, is located at the start of Rua do Comércio, behind the Matriz Church.

Popular with European families and other international tourists, Pousada Porto Imperial occupies a preserved construction, decorated with Brazilian antiques, tapestries and art objects.

Each guest room is named for a notable Brazilian woman.
