How to Configure DNS Dynamic Update in Windows XP
- 1). Click "Start," located at the bottom-left of the screen. Click "Control Panel" from the right-side of the Start Menu. Click "Network and Internet Connects," then click "Network Connections" from the Control Panel.
- 2). Right-click the network connection you wish to configure and click "Properties."
- 3). Click the "General" tab for local area connections, or the "Networking" tab for all other connections. Click "Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)" and then click "Properties."
- 4). Click the "Advanced" button from the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window.
- 5). Click the "DNS" tab from the Advanced TCP/IP Settings window.
- 6). Check the box next to "Register this connection's addresses in DNS." Click "OK" to save and close the advanced settings box.
