How to Identify Startup Programs
- 1). Click "Start," then "Run."
- 2). Type "msconfig" into the run box and press "OK." For MS Vista, you can simply type "msconfig" into the search box and press enter.
- 3). Click on the "Startup," tab. This will display a list of all the programs set to boot up when you start up you computer.
- 4). Uncheck the appropriate box in the msconfig startup tab, and click "Apply," if you wish to disable a certain startup program.
- 1). Click the Apple icon, then "System Preferences."
- 2). Find "System Settings," and click on "Accounts."
- 3). Click on the appropriate account and check the tab called "Login Items."
