Ballygally Castle Hotel

• The Ballygally Castle is the only 17th-century building that is still used as a residence in Northern Ireland. The castle dates back to 1625 and is believed to be haunted by Lady Isobella, wife of Lord James Shaw. Isobella gave birth to a daughter, which angered the lord so much that he locked her and the baby in a small tower room with no food. The distraught lady jumped to her death with her infant daughter. It is said she roams the castle knocking on doors. When climbing the narrow staircase to the room she was held in, guests often claim they hear the sounds of a baby crying, but when arriving at the room they find it empty. There are 44 guest rooms and the castle is decorated with antique furnishings that complement the original features.

Dobbin's Inn Hotel

• Dobbin's Inn has been a hotel since 1946. Prior to that it had been an armory, a townhouse and a family castle. In the 17th century Hugh Dobbin caught his wife Elizabeth with her lover, known only as ButtonCap. The betrayed husband killed them both with his sword. Many guests have reported seeing Elizabeth disappearing into the chimney, which was the entryway to the underground tunnel she used to meet her lover. She has also been reported lingering in the halls and reception area. Many guests say they have been awakened by Elizabeth gently caressing their faces. There are 15 guest rooms with modern amenities including free wi-fi.

• The White Horse is a Best Western Hotel located near the city of Derry's airport. It's a modern facility with 57 guest rooms. The hotel is situated close to the ancient walls of the city where people have reported seeing a mail stagecoach with a portly driver roaming the area. It has also been seen pulling up to and entering the hotel, and then mysteriously disappearing.
