How to Edit My Web Album Pictures

    • 1). Sign in to your Picasa Web Album (see Resources below). If you don't have a Google email account, you'll need to create one to use the web album.

    • 2). Download Picasa and open it. Picasa will automatically check for images on your computer. Select the web album picture you want to edit by clicking on the folder from the left navigational pane and double-clicking it.

    • 3). Select the "Basic Fixes" tab to perform a simple edit and click on the option you want to use.

    • 4). Crop a photo by selecting "Crop" and choosing a dimension from the drop-down list. Drag the cropped area over your web album photo until you're satisfied with the position. To reduce or expand your cropping area, pull in/out the handles surrounding your image. Choose "Apply" to accept the changes.

    • 5). Straighten a crooked image or slant it by selecting "Straighten." Drag the scrollbar to the left or right and choose "Apply" to accept the edit.

    • 6). Remove red-eye from a web album photo by selecting "Redeye," and drawing a box around each eye with your mouse. Click "Apply" to accept changes.

    • 7). Select "I'm Feeling Lucky" to fix the lighting and color of an image. Undo your action by clicking on "Undo I'm Feeling Lucky."

    • 8). Fix picture exposures on your web album picture by clicking "Auto Contrast." Remove color casts with "Auto Color."

    • 9). Repair any tears, scratches or spots on the image by selecting "Retouch." Select the brush size you want to use to zero in on the flaw. Click on the damaged area of your photo with your mouse and preview it. Repeat the process until your image is restored. Choose "Apply" to accept your edits.

      Add text to your image by selecting "Edit Text." Choose a font, size, style, color, outline, alignment and transparency. Accept the changes by clicking "Apply."

      Select the "Tuning" tab to add lighting, highlights, shadows or color temperature. Select "Undo Tuning" to leave your photo unchanged.

      Select the "Effects" tab to change the look of your web album picture. Effect options include sharpen, sepia, black and white, warmify, film grain, tint, saturation, soft focus, glow, filtered black and white, focal black and white and graduated tint. Choose the option you'd like to use.

      Rotate your web photo by selecting the "Rotate Counter-Clockwise" or "Rotate Clockwise" button from the bottom pane.
