    • 1). Log on to the domain controller for your network. Navigate to the "%SystemRoot%\Winnt\Inf" folder. The %SystemRoot% is generally the C drive.

    • 2). Open the "System.adm" file in Notepad. Navigate to the section headlined "ProfileSize." Find the max profile size setting and increase it. The default size is 30000, which equates to 30MB of storage space.

    • 3). Save the file to accept your changes, then click "Start," "Programs," and "Administrative Tools." Click "Active Directory Users and Computers."

    • 4). Click the plus sign next to "Active Directory Users and Computers," then the plus sign next to "Domain." Right-click the organizational unit (OU) that you want the new profile size applied to, choose "Properties" and select the "Group Policy" tab.

    • 5). Choose "New" and then "Add a New Group Policy." Click "Edit" and expand "User Configuration" and then "Administrative Templates." Expand "System" and then "Logon/Logoff."

    • 6). Double-click "Limit Profile Size" and then click "Enable." Set the maximum profile size you want to use, then click "Apply" to save your changes. Click "OK" and close the window.
