How to Prepare Still Images in Photoshop for Import Into Premiere

    • 1). Enter the color profile window by selecting the "Assign Profile..." option from the "File" menu in Photoshop.

    • 2). Select either "NTSC", "PAL" or "HDTV," depending on the format you will be working with in Premiere. If you're working on something else, select "Adobe RGB." Click "OK".

    • 3). Reduce the size of the image to the size it will be in Premiere by selecting "Image Size" option from the "Image" menu at the top.

    • 4). Change the pixels to the appropriate size, then click "OK." If you are unsure of the size required, bigger is always more useful since you can scale down in Premiere. Scaling up will result in a loss of quality.

    • 5). Adjust any part of the image further to correct any changes the size or color profile may have caused.

    • 6). Save the image as a PSD file by selecting "Save As" from the "File" menu at the top.
