Create a Calendar & Add Your Own Family Birthdays
- 1). Start Outlook and click "Calendar" on the left of the screen.
- 2). Navigate to the date to which you want to add a birthday. You can scroll through entire months using the arrows either side of the name of the month's name.
- 3). Click "File > New > Appointment."
- 4). Enter a description, for example, "Kirsty's Birthday." Click the "Recurrence" box and choose to repeat the event annually. You can add a time and receive a reminder as well.
- 5). Click "Save and Close" to confirm the birthday. Repeat for each birthday on your list. Use Outlook for any event you choose.
- 1). Start iCal and click the "Home" calendar on the left.
- 2). Click "Month" at the top of the screen. Use the arrows to scroll to the correct month.
- 3). Click to select the date to which you want to add the birthday. Hold down "CTRL" and click the day again. Choose "New Event" from the menu.
- 4). Type a name for the birthday. For example, "Gary's Birthday."
- 5). Double click the new event and select "Edit."
- 6). Click the "All Day" check box for the event.
- 7). Click "Alarm" to set a reminder message, sound or email. Repeat steps 1 to 7 for each birthday you want to add. ICal works as a calendar for any type of event.
