- 1). Remove the head of the lantern by turning it counterclockwise until it releases from the body. Remove the two plastic caps that cover the springs at the top of the battery and insert the battery into the lantern with the springs facing upward.
- 2). Replace the head of the lantern by lining up the slot in the reflector with the raised rib inside the body of the lantern. Turn the head clockwise until tight.
- 3). Test the lantern by pressing the black rubber button at the top.
