How to Uninstall Sound Drivers in Windows XP
- 1). From the "Start" menu, select Settings>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management. A new window appears.
- 2). In the newly appeared "Computer Management" window, click "Device Manager," located under "System Tools." A list of devices opens to the right.
- 3). In the right pane, scroll down until you see "Sound, video, and game controllers," hit the plus icon to expand the category, locate your sound card and double-click on it. A new windows pops up.
- 4). Click on the "Driver" tab and select "Uninstall."
- 5). Confirm by pressing "OK."
- 6). You will most likely be prompted to restart; do so.
