- 1). Insert your Windows XP install disc into the optical drive of your computer and start up the computer.
- 2). Press "R" when you are prompted to repair the system on the "Welcome To Setup" screen.
- 3). Enter your administrator password into the box when prompted.
- 4). Type "Bootcfg" on the command prompt when it appears on the screen, and then wait for your computer to configure the boot files on your system.
- 5). Restart your system after the configuration has finished.
