How to Prepare a Personal Budget in Power Point
- 1). Gather up all of your monthly bills and separate them into piles. Each pile should represent a spending category; for example, housing costs, food costs and entertainment costs.
- 2). Look through your checkbook and write down any expenses from the past month. Categorize each expense according to its category and add those expenses to the ones from your bills.
- 3). Log on to your computer and open PowerPoint. Choose from the list of slide formats and double-click the type of slide you want. For instance, some slide formats let you insert a picture--use that slide format to add a graphic of a house to your list of monthly housing expenses.
- 4). Create a new slide for each category of expense. Add graphics to the slides to make them more attractive and easier to understand.
- 5). Save your finished slide show to your hard drive. Update the amounts in your PowerPoint presentation as new expenses come in.
