How to Get Rid of Blackheads on Your Nose
- 1). Apply a blackhead treatment cream containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to your nose. You may find that your skin is sensitive to such creams initially. Begin by applying the treatment cream every other day until your skin gets accustomed to it.
- 2). Get a professional facial. Estheticians are trained to remove blackheads and perform a variety of other procedures, such as scrubs, masks and steaming, that discourage new blackheads from forming. Part of a facial appointment involves extractions. The esthetician will use her hands or special tools to extract blackheads and pimples from your skin. Don't attempt to do this yourself.
- 3). Consume at least 64 oz. of water every day.
- 4). Get adequate rest. Stressed skin often experiences more blackheads and breakouts. Try to get about eight hours of sleep each night.
- 5). Eat a well-balanced diet. Make sure you get plenty of vitamins and nutrients. While you can take a multivitamin, it's better to get your nutrients from real food. Avoid processed foods and opt for fresh fruits and vegetables.
- 6). Use a facial scrub to exfoliate your skin twice a week.
- 7). Remove excess oil by using a deep-cleaning facial mask once a week. Choose a mask that is made to treat blackheads and problem skin.
- 8). Clean your skin. Never go to bed with makeup or the day's debris on your face. Use a gentle cleanser every night.
