How to Print Excel Data Using Vista
- 1). Open the Microsoft Excel document you wish to print.
- 2). Hold down the left mouse button while dragging over the range of cells you wish to print. When finished, release the left mouse button. The desired cells will be highlighted with a dark background.
- 3). Select the "Print Area" command. In Microsoft Excel 2007, this is located on the "Page Layout" tab at the top of the program on the ribbon bar. Locate the "Page Setup" group and click "Print Area," followed by "Set Print Area." In earlier versions of Excel, click the "File" menu, and select the "Print Area" sub-menu, followed by "Set Print Area." Once the "Set Print Area" option is clicked in either version, the cells currently selected will be configured to print, while the other cells in the document will not print.
- 4). Click the "Print" button to print the desired selection.
- 1). Decide which rows and columns contain information that adequately identifies all the cells in the page. When printing multiple pages, the first row will normally only print on the first page. However, this row often labels the data within that column. These rows and columns along the left of the spreadsheet can be automatically repeated on all printed pages.
- 2). Click the "File" menu and select the "Page Setup" option if using a version of Excel prior to 2007. For Excel 2007, click the "Print Titles" button on the "Page Layout" tab located at the ribbon control on the top of the program window. The "Page Setup" diaolog box will pop up in both cases.
- 3). Click in the "Rows to Repeat at Top" field and drag with your mouse to select the rows you wish to print on every page. Do the same for the "Columns to Repeat at Left" field.
- 4). Click the "OK" button.
- 5). Press the "Print" button to print the pages using the chosen settings.
