- 1). Open a web browser.
- 2). Navigate to one of the free bootable ISO image websites (see Resources).
- 3). Click the Windows 98 link.
- 4). Click the Save File button to save the ISO file to the hard drive.
- 5). Click the Windows Start button and launch the CD/DVD burning software.
- 6). Insert a blank CD.
- 7). Click the Create CD option in the CD/DVD burning utility.
- 8). Click the CD-ROM (ISO) option.
- 9). Click the Open button to open the file navigator. Navigate to the downloaded ISO file.

Click on or drag and drop the ISO file into the New Compilation file window in the CD/DVD burning utility. - 11
Click the Burn button. The disk image will create the bootable Windows 98 CD. - 12
Test the CD by inserting the disk into the CD player and rebooting the machine. Press any key to Boot from CD when prompted. If computer boots from the CD into Windows 98 installation and repair utility, the disk imaging process was successful.
