How to Increase PSD Smart Objects
- 1). Go to "File" and "New" to create a new document. Select "File," "Place" and double click on the image or graphic to be placed in the document. The image will appear in the document with an "X" over the image inside a bounding box.
- 2). Hit the "Enter" key, which will place the image on a layer as a smart object. A small page icon will appear on the thumbnail layer.
- 3). Hold Ctrl and T to activate the Free Transform Tool. The Free Transform Tool will increase the size or decrease the size of the image encased as a smart object.
- 4). Hold Shift and click on the bottom, right corner of the image and pull down diagonally. The tool is revealed with double arrows. Another way to increase the size of the image is to go to the Options setting bar beneath the menu bar.
- 5). Click on the link icon. Click inside the "W:" or "H:" and type a percentage such as 125%. The image will be resized.
- 6). Hit the "Enter" key to make the increased image final.
