Celebrate All Things Lavender a Sequim"s Annual Weekend of Lavender-Themed Events
Fields of lavender. Sunshine. Picture-perfect farm houses. White-capped mountains in the distance. No, you're not in southern France -- you're in Sequim, on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. Sequim celebrates the beauty and usefulness of this sweet-smelling herb annually during its peak bloom season in July. The Sequim Lavender Weekend includes include three days of lavender farm tours, community fairs, and other special events.

Sequim Lavender Festival Street Fair
This family-friendly festival features juried crafts booths, food and drink vendors, and live music and performers. You will find lavender products of every kind at the street fair, from oils and lotions to lavender lemonade to sachets and wands. The Lavender Festival Street Fair takes place on Fir Street between Sequim Avenue and Third Avenue in Downtown Sequim, Washington.
Lavender Arts and Crafts Faire in the Park
The "Lavender in the Park" event is another community festival, this one held at Carrie Blake Park/Reuse Demonstration Park, which is located at 202 Blake Ave., Sequim, WA 98382. Craft, lavender, food, and community organization booths, a wine and beer garden, and family-friendly fun are the focus of this free fair.
Tour Sequim's Lavender Fields
The tours allow you to get an up-close view (and smell!) of the blooming fields and to learn how the growers cultivate and use their lavender.
Farms on these tours provide different amenities and entertainment, including gift shops, food and crafts booths, live music, and U-pick lavender blooms. Most of these lavender grower's are represented in booths at the fairs as well.

The Sequim Middle School is the venue for this annual quilt show, open throughout Lavender Weekend.

Sequim Lavender Festival Free Farm Tour
Sequim-area lavender farms that are members of the Sequim Lavender Growers Association provide free admission to their fields during Sequim Lavender Weekend. While in town, pick up a a self-guided driving tour brochure for details.
Sequim Heritage Lavender Farm Tour
The fields and facilities of seven Sequim Lavender Farmers Association members can all be visited for one admission fee that includes all three days. You can park once at the "Lavender in the Park" lot and travel between these fields on the farm tour shuttle bus, or you can drive on your own. In addition to the opportunity to stroll through the purple fields, these lavender grower's each provide unique and different activities. This could include gift stores featuring their own lavender products or demonstrations on everything from growing your own lavender to brewing lavender tea.
