- 1). Gather all the things that you will need and place them on a clean surface. Wash and dry your hands.
- 2). Prepare the formula based on the label instructions. Remove and close the tubing on the kangaroo pump by rolling the wheel of the roller clamp all the way down.
- 3). Put the feeding bag in a hanging position on the IV pole. Pour the required amount of mixed formula into the bag.
- 4). Press the white "On" button. Press the "Dose" button and the "Up" and "Down" arrows to set the dosage. Press and release the button on the back of the loading arm, and bring it forward until it locks into place. Put the bottom of the drip chamber inside the lower drip chamber guide. Put the top of the drip chamber inside the upper drip chamber guide. Push the feeding tube upward inside the loading arm.
- 5). Fill the pump tubing with formula. Close the loading arm until it clicks in place, and then close the feeding tube clamp. Attach both the tip of the feeding tube and the tip of the tubing for the pump. Securely tape them together. Open the feeding tube clamp and press the "Start" button.
