- 1). Grasp the handle and pull it toward you. Make sure that you are not standing in the path of the water. Pulling the handle toward you regulates the flow of water. Pull the handle out or push it back in until the water is flowing at a rate that suits you.
- 2). Turn the handle counterclockwise to increase the heat. Turn it slowly so the water has a chance to warm. Test the water intermittently to determine if it is at the right temperature for you. Once the water is at the right temperature, release the handle.
- 3). Push the handle in toward the wall to turn the water off. You can leave the handle in the same position, rather than turning it back in a clockwise direction, so you save your warm water setting.
