How to Germinate Wheatgrass
- 1). Fill a seed-starting flat with sterile soil.
- 2). Place wheat grass seeds in a bowl of water to soak for eight hours.
- 3). Drain the water from the seeds. Rinse the seeds in cool water and drain the excess water off again.
- 4). Spread the wheat grass seeds over the top of the soil. Cover the entire soil surface with the seeds and then spread 1/2-inch of soil over them.
- 5). Pour water into a spray bottle. Spray the top of the soil to moisten it.
- 6). Cover the wheatgrass tray with clear plastic. Spray the soil daily to keep it moist
- 7). Place the tray in a location with indirect sunlight.
- 8). Remove the plastic from the tray when the wheatgrass seeds germinate. Keep the tray in a location with indirect sunlight and continue to water the soil daily.
