How to Use a Pass Word to Log on to a Computer
- 1). Click on the "Start" Menu.
- 2). Locate the "Control Panel," and click on it. This will bring up a window titled "Control Panel."
- 3). Find the option, most likely located at the bottom, titled "User Accounts." Double click on it.
- 4). Click on "Change an account" once the window has opened.
- 5). Pick any account to which you would like to give a password. If you want to attribute a password to each account, you can repeat the process later.
- 6). Click on one of the accounts.
- 7). Click on the "Create a password" option.
- 8). Follow the resulting directions; type in a new password and create a password hint. Click "Create password."
- 9). Type in your password every time you start your computer from now on. Make sure to write the password down lest you forget it.
