• Signs of ovarian cancer mimic conditions associated with the digestive system. The U.S. National Library of Medicine says some of the common digestive problems include gas, bloating, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. Women may begin having problems when eating. The Federal Citizens Information Center website says these conditions occur because tumors grow and press against the bladder and bowels. • The U.S. National Library of Medicine says that back pain and pain during sex are ovarian cancer signs. Back pain worsens with the passage of time. Women begin experiencing pain during sexual intercourse. Doctors perform tests like pelvic exams to see if a mass is growing in the ovaries or an exploratory laparoscopic exam.
