- 1). Click the "Start" button on the Windows taskbar.
- 2). Click "All Programs" and then click "Windows Update."
- 3). Click "Check For Updates" in the left-hand menu. Wait for Windows Update to find and load all updates for the computer.
- 4). Click "View Available Updates."
- 5). Right-click on the update that you want to remove. Click "Hide Update." This stops Windows Update from automatically selecting or installing the pending update each time the tool checks for updates. You can always unhide the update later by coming back to this page and clicking the "Restore Hidden Updates."
