• Saddle Brook is a township located in Bergen County in New Jersey, only eight miles west of New York City. While the majority of the township is residential, Saddle Brook is a central transportation location, as several major highways intersect there including the Garden State Parkway and Route 80. • Carruci's Restaurant and Pub is a family-owned-and-operated establishment located on Saddle River Road in Saddle Brook. Decor includes checkered tablecloths, large picture windows and numerous wall decorations such as a large Coors Lite car. Menu items include roast beef sandwiches, meatball parmigiana, burgers, grilled vegetable sandwich, barbecue baby back ribs, homemade cheese ravioli and 14 oz. New York strip steak. Super thin crust pizza with assorted toppings is also available as is a kids menu. Ask your server for desserts available that day. An extensive wine list is offered in addition to the restaurant's full bar, which features a weekday happy hour that includes a $2.95 appetizer menu as of 2011. • Matsuya Japanese Steak House, located on Market Street in Saddle Brook, is the area establishment for hibachi steaks and a large selection of fresh sushi. The plain decor on the outside of the restaurant belies the rich wooden-paneled walls, flower arrangements and dim lighting that makes up the interior. Enjoy watching hibachi chefs perform teppanyaki cooking, or grilling steaks, seafood or other creations at your table. The establishment's main menu features seaweed salad, spicy hot octopus, chicken kushiyaki on a skewer and filet mignon teriyaki box. The extensive sushi menu includes sushi appetizers, dinners and boats served with miso soup and sushi rolled in sushi rice.
