If you are having a party for Halloween, add to the fun with party games.
No matter how old people get, they still love to play, and what better time than at your party? Here are some ideas for games for kids or older adults.
Word Scramble Take a dozen or so words that you associate with the holiday, and scramble the letters.
For example, take the letters of the word "zombie" and mix them up to spell "ebzimo.
"Next to each word, place a line or spaces for the correct word to be written in.
Print out a copy for each guest, and give them all pencils.
The one who finishes first wins.
Pass the Skull Use a skull prop in this variation of the hot potato game you played as a kid.
Have everyone in a circle.
You turn on some Halloween music, and they pass the skull from one person to the next.
When the music stops (you keep your eyes looking at something else,) whoever ends up holding the skull has to leave the circle.
The last person remaining is the winner.
Pumpkin Bowling Use empty soft drink cans or bottles and line them up in a pyramid pattern, like bowling pins.
Use small pumpkins as your bowling balls.
The uneven shape will make them roll all over the place.
Put a piece of tape on the floor as the line the bowlers must stay behind.
Let everyone take 3 turns each.
The person who knocks over the most pins wins.
Candy Toss Have an empty bowl or jack-o-lantern some distance away.
Give each player the same number of candies.
They must stand behind the line and try to toss as many pieces into the pumpkin.
The winner is the one who gets the most in.
If you end up with a tie, you can make it more difficult by moving the line farther away.
Kids love to be better than grownups, and this is a simple skill that any age can play.
If you also have younger kids, make a special line on the floor that is closer, to make it more fair for them.
Mummy Wrap Divide people into teams or pairs.
Give each team a roll of toilet paper.
The teams have to race to wrap one person like a mummy, using the toilet paper.
This one gets to be a lot of fun, because the paper rips if you go too fast.
So there you have five great Halloween party games for kids and adults.
Even if you think that adults won't enjoy playing them, give them a try.
I guarantee you that most people, no matter what age, will start to have a fun-tastic time.
