Guide to Vending Machine Sizes

In the past, vending machine sizes have been a one-size-fits-all affair.
This meant that whilst standard size vending machines were regarded as suitable for public spaces where they are visited regularly by many people, owners of smaller offices were usually deterred by the idea of installing a machine because it would not be economically viable.
Today, vending machines are available in sizes suitable for all types of workplace, here is guide to the three most popular: Classic Size The typical size of a traditional free standing vending machine would usually be up to about two metres in height and just under about a metre in width.
Today, they are usually even more compact and boast more (or at least an equal amount of) choice.
Machines of this size are the most logical choice for large enterprise businesses where staff sizes reach well into the hundreds and visitor refreshment may also need to be on offer too.
The most comprehensive range of drinks is available in machines of this size, including: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soups, and fair-trade - and advancing technologies mean that cold drinks can also be offered.
Medium Size Smaller or mid-size offices might benefit from a small free standing machine.
These use less power (just 2.
5kw) and take up less space at about half the width of the standard size.
Additionally, medium size machines are often available without the base cabinet to allow the all important top unit to sit on a work surface or bench if preferred.
Although these machines offer slightly less range at just eight separate types of drink, the selections available are at the discretion of the owner, and advancements in technology mean that cold drinks can be offered along side the standard teas and coffees.
Compact Size For areas that are used by even fewer people such as boardrooms, there are still vending machines available so staff are not dependent on kettles and kitchen facilities.
These are compact (under 50 centimetres high) and only offer hot drinks, but can accommodate speciality tastes such as loose leaf teas and freshly ground coffees.
Where these machines lack in size they make up for in quality with the aim of offering fresh tasting flavourful hot drinks.
These models are also available with optional works stations and specially designed merchandise columns, but can be used on their own.
