Disable Active Sync in the ActiveSync Software

• 1). Open the Windows ActiveSync software.
  
  
• 2). Uncheck "Allow USB Connections."
  
  
• 3). Click "OK" and the Windows Mobile device will no longer automatically sync to your computer.
  
  

Disable Active Sync on the Windows Mobile Device

• 1). Connect the Windows Mobile device to the computer using the USB cable, Bluetooth, or infrared (IR). If synchronizing wirelessly with Exchange Server, connecting the device isn't necessary.
  
  
• 2). Power on the Windows Mobile Device.
  
  
• 3). Tap "Start" and "Programs."
  
  
• 4). Tap "ActiveSync" and "Sync."
  
  
• 5). Tap "Stop."
