- 1). Plug your printer into your computer using the USB connection port.
- 2). Start the Debian Lenny software by typing in "http://localhost:631/" in your web browser.
- 3). Click on "Add Printer" from the Debian Lenny interface.
- 4). Select your printer from the drop-down menu to the right of the "Device" menu option.
- 5). Select the model of your printer. If it's not listed, insert the printer installation disk and browse for the PPD driver.
- 6). Click "Add Printer." When the next page opens choose the default options. Click "Set printer options."
- 7). Restart your computer.
