- 1). Place all the required items in an area next to wherever you are going to use the ear wax candles. I like to lay on the ground when having this done since it gives me and the trusted friend enough space to work and it is away from anything that might burn.
- 2). Lay on your side with the blocked ear facing up, that's about the extent of steps for the person having their ear cleaning. Cut a small hole in the center of the pie plate to put the ear candle through. The small tip of the ear wax candle should stick out about 4 inches from the bottom of the plate.
- 3). Stick the ear candle in the ear so it almost points straight to the ceiling. The person with the ear wax candle in his or her ear should make sure it is in snugly, not forced deep into the ear canal.
- 4). Place a wet towel over the side of the head to protect from any falling debris your trusted friend my fail to catch appropriately once the candle is lit ;). This is mostly for your added protection.
- 5). Light the ear wax candles on the wide end. After the candle burns down about an inch, have your buddy take the ear wax candle out of the ear and cut off the charred tip so it doesn't burn anyone or anything. Afterwards, place back in ear. The candle should stay lit this whole time.
- 6). Repeat step five until it burns down to just about 4 to 5 inches. At this time, take out of ear and extinguish the ear wax removal candle's flame.
- 7). For added enjoyment, use scissors to cut open the candle and explore the fun things that came out of your blocked ears. I did not include a picture of this for your sakes, but this happens to be my favorite step.
