It's such fun to get all dressed up on Halloween.
It's one of my favorite holidays.
Yet those costumes can add up.
And if you're throwing a party, the cost can become quite substantial.
But you don't have to break the bank.
There are a lot of ways in which you can buy Halloween costumes and party supplies for less.
Recycle or reuse One of the things you can do is recycle last year's costumes and/or Halloween decorations.
Of course people will be able to tell if you do that, unless you invite only new people.
And maybe you'd prefer to dress up as someone or something else this year.
Thrift stores You could go to a thrift store, but it seems the selection can be somewhat limited.
And if you go to a place like Goodwill or the Salvation Army, or a local consignment store, you have to wear other people's hand-me-downs.

And if you're looking for kids, specialty retailers or big box stores will have plenty to choose from -- and some of them may be on sale.
But making the rounds of all those places can take up a lot of time -- and eat up a lot of gas too.

Go online Going online is often the easiest and fastest way -- and the way that is likely to save you the most money.
Not only could you check out eBay to scout out big bargains, but there are plenty of specialty sites to choose from, from retailers to websites recommending specific costumes.
The selection will beat anything you'd find offline hands-down.
