- 1). Download the "Trend Micro Diagnostic Tool" from its download page on the Trend Micro website (see Resources).
- 2). Click on the downloaded file, or alternatively select "Run" to install the program. The program will automatically install to your default downloads file. You will see the uninstall screen for your software once the program is installed.
- 3). Click on the "Uninstall" tab on the far right of the uninstall screen, and then click on the "Uninstall Software" button directly below it. This detects the Trend Micro software that you have on your computer, and it then generates another uninstall screen. Click on the "Uninstall" button at the bottom of the second uninstall screen.
- 4). Click on the "Yes" button when the uninstall finishes, which usually takes between one and two minutes. Restart your computer when prompted.
