Lessons For Golf - Jr Golf Driver Practice

103 2
In golf, you hit your Driver only 12-13 times per round.
However, if you have a jr golf player, you know how difficult it is for your player to hit a good shot off the tee box using their Driver.
On the long par 4's (over 400 yards), that first shot is very important.
If your Jr golf player does not hit it 200+ yards, they have virtually no chance to reach the green on their second shot.
After several lessons for golf, my son was still having some issues with his driving distance, as well as his driving accuracy.
I did a little bit of research on the internet and found a company that sold a hittable weighted driver called "The Power Hitter.
" The company, Momentus, sells the product in several different weights.
You can purchase the product online or in their store.
Their claim is that by using this product, you will increase your driving distance by 20 yards.
We decided to give it a try and went ahead and purchased The Power Hitter.
It should be noted that I have no affiliation with this company or product.
However, I can honestly say that purchasing this product was a great decision on our part.
My son would go to the driving range and use the Power Hitter for 20 minutes or so, and over a period of a month or two, his driving accuracy and distance dramatically improved.
We were very happy with the outcome.
Not only did his swing speed improve, but the weighted club helped him with his follow-through and swing pattern.
In fact, after two years, he still uses the product today.
I would highly recommend this company.
When my son has his lessons for golf, his instructor always tells him to practice his putting, chipping and short iron game.
While I think this is certainly the best advise, I still believe the Jr golf player needs to spend some time perfecting their swing while using their woods.
I have witnessed so many players blow their score due to poor play with their Driver.
I'm not saying spend 80% of your practice time hitting the Driver.
All I'm saying is please don't completely ignore that part of the game.
In golf, it's all about keeping the ball in the fairway.
If you can hit the ball long and straight with your Driver, you will be that much further ahead.
The next time you have some lessons for golf, ask your instructor to help you get more distance with your Driver.
